Pilgrim Creek Estates are 203 gated homes located in the northern part of Oceanside, Ca, next to Camp Pendleton.  Many of the Pilgrim Creek Estates homes have wilderness area views or views of rolling hills. 

Pilgrim Creek homes are mostly manufactured homes on permanent foundations with 2 car garages.These homes were built in the late 1980s and are approximately 1400-1900 square feet and are priced in the low to high $200,000s.

Pilgrim Creek Estates homes are in a quiet community of well-kept homes and attractively landscaped grounds. Pilgrim Creek real estate has a community center with a beautiful and spacious clubhouse and a swimming pool and spa/hot tub.  There are aqua exercise classes scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

With the population base getting older and baby-boomers reaching retirement age, the quest for single story, one level homes increases.  So you would think builders would have realized the trend and would have built a lot of single story homes in San Diego North County.  No, the opposite is true.  In the last 15 years, almost everything North County home builders have produced has been large two story homes.  They try to get the most bang for the buck without actually trying to meet the needs of the San Diego North County home buyers.

One of San Diego North County’s most affordable, over 55, 55+, retirement communities of Oceanside real estate is Oceana homes.  Oceana homes are just north of Highway 78 and East off El Camino Real.  Tun in on Oceana and you will first see the large recreational facility, clubhouse, pool and spa.  The Oceana real estate community was designed for the “over 55.”  There are many different floorplans of Oceana homes ranging from 650 to 1500 esf.   Most Oceana homes are 2 bedrooms.

 Oceana real estate is an older development of both attached and detached Oceanside homes built in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s.   Oceana homes are made up of four communities: Oceana Mission, Oceana East, Oceana South, and the original Oceana homes.  Oceana, like Ocean Hills, enjoys great weather with over 330 days of sun and the cooling Pacific coastal breezes.
