There are 3 different school districts with definite boundaries that serve the area. These three districts are the San Marcos Unified School District, the Carlsbad Unified School District, and the combined Encinitas Union and San Dieguito Union Districts. La Costa Meadows Elementary School, located in Carlsbad, serves grades K-5 in the San Marcos Unified School District. It is the goal of the La Costa Meadows school to work to create a postive environment in which all its students will acquire the skill sets necessary, both academic and social, to function independently and competently in society.
La Costa Heights Elementary School serves grades K-6 in the Encinitas Union Elementary School District. La Costa Heights Elementary has over 590 students in grades k – 6. Its teachers and staff are dedicated to ensuring the academic success of every La Costa student while providing a safe and productive learning experience. La Costa Heights Elementary School located in San Diego North County, has developed educational programs designed to provide the skills and tools necessary for students to explore their creativity and at the same time develop a strong educational base. The dedication of La Costa Heights Elementary School’s staff, parents, and community has enabled La costa Heights Elementary to receive the California Distinguished School award and and to achieve National Blue Ribbon School status. It also received a distinguished GreatSchools Rating of 9 out of 10.
