Location of Escondido

The City of Escondido is located about 30 miles north of Downtown San Diego and about 18 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Interstate 15 is the major north/south route and Highway 78 is the road that connects the Escondido homes area to the coast. The Sprinter is a new light rail train system that runs from Escondido to Oceanside.
